The Sacraments
While Jesus was on earth He instituted many sources of His Grace that his church would have to feed His people.
Jesus promised that he would be with us all days’ and it is through the Sacraments that Jesus continues to feed
us through the Holy Spirit.
The following is a brief description of a subject that could and does contain volumes. For each sacrament a scriptural
source is given for your study, and to enhance your understanding.

- According to Jesus we all need conversion, even the so-called just. What is important in
conversion is what happens deep in our heart. Therefore conversion, or penance, is an ongoing constant task for
the baptized Christian. The first step in the sacrament of penance is our acceptance that we have sinned and that
we are truly sorry for what we have done. Then we go to the priest in confession, and receive absolution, we celebrate
with him our return to full communion with the Church.
